For over 25 years FSC has depended on a committed group of businesses, environmentalists and community leaders, driven to create change through a voluntary, consumer-driven approach that improves forestry practices worldwide.
This month we’ve celebrated the first anniversary of FSC Canada’s NEW standard for responsible forestry showcasing stories from our committed partners who have supported us along the way.
Partners like, Chantiers Chibougamau, a forest management company in Quebec, and the first company to transition 2.4 million hectares of forest to the new standard. They mark the first step on our journey to certifying 100 million hectares of Canadian forests by 2025.
Companies like Procter & Gamble that have increased their already strong commitment to sourcing FSC-certified fibres for their paper products.
And environmental partners like Greenpeace Canada, who stand behind FSC Canada’s new standard.
As we rebuild post-COVID, we need more businesses to support FSC showcasing their commitment not only to forests, but also to the people, flora and fauna that depend on them.
And we need more consumers like you, to look for the FSC logo and ask for FSC certified products.
Our forests, and our world, need us more now than ever.
