This recognition demonstrates the confidence of the private sector in the Innofibre team, and the quality of the work carried out. Innofibre's pilot and laboratory facilities meet the research and technology acceleration needs of several SMEs and large companies in the pulp and paper and biorefinery sectors.

For 33 years, Innofibre has contributed to the optimization of bioprocesses and the development of new biobased products. The results of the research work allow private partners to diversify their markets, create new jobs and contribute to the development of the forest industry. In addition to carrying out research projects according to the strictest standards, Innofibre participates in the development of qualified workers. Annually, some thirty college and university students are involved in the research projects and are often hired by the industrial partner.

In a context of green economic recovery where innovation will play an important role, it is important to have promising collaborations between the private sectors and research sectors. Innofibre is pursuing its mission to support innovation and diversification of biomass-based products by adapting paper technologies. Agile and daring, Innofibre’s team is always open to respond to challenges that generate environmental and socio-economic benefits in our regions and among our partners.

Innofibre would like to highlight the performance of the other two technology transfer centers of Cégep de Trois-Rivières, Centre de métallurgie du Québec and the C2T3. Finally, this distinction could not be obtained without the rigorous and dedicated work of Innofibre’s team and we sincerely thank them.
