Georgia-Pacific's Juno Recycling Technology Earns Recognition for Innovation and Sustainability

Georgia-Pacific's Juno technology, an innovative recycling process, has received recognition from three different entities for its contribution to sustainability and recycling.

The American Forest and Paper Association, Portland Business Journal, and Engineering News-Record all recognized Juno for its impact on recycling and landfill diversion.

Juno's technology has doubled Toledo's landfill diversion rates in its first year of operation. Future Juno installations will have added sorting equipment and the ability to capture biogas, increasing potential diversion rates to 90%. This technology allows for previously unrecyclable waste to be processed, providing a solution to increase recycling and recovery.
