This year’s event, originally planned for October 20-23, 2020 is rescheduled for May 12-14, 2021, in the same location of Vancouver, British Columbia.

Rescheduling the conference is not a decision we take lightly, but as we all adjust plans due to the uncertainty around the COVID-19 pandemic, we feel that this is the best decision for our attendees and speakers.

SFI E-Summit will be held October 22-23, 2020.

Additional plans for several virtual opportunities to bring the SFI community together for shared learning focused on our four strategic pillars: standards, conservation, community, and education are being developed. Stay tuned for more information.

New Date: The SFI Annual Conference is rescheduled for May 12-14, 2021 in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Next May’s event will be more important than ever. It will provide an energetic forum to take a new look at global and local sustainability challenges in a post-pandemic world.

We’ll discuss how, by working together, we can make better choices for the planet around key themes such as combating climate change, ensuring local economic resilience through forest management, managing forests for species recovery, providing clean water, promoting outdoor recreation, supporting green jobs and career pathways, sourcing responsibly, leveraging our diversity, fostering meaningful relationships with Indigenous Peoples and strengthening our communities.

We believe there is deep value in the SFI Annual Conference and the opportunity it provides to convene, collaborate, and engage on key sustainability issues and the solutions that forests can provide. We look forward to seeing you online this fall and in person in Vancouver in May 2021.
